La Maison Magique
Situated in over one and a half acres of delightful gardens
leading down through a shaded woodland of poplars and fruit trees to the meandering
River Blavet, famed as the best carp river in Europe.
Just a gentle stroll along the
towpath takes you to either tranquil meadows and woodland or an ice cold "pression"
by the river in one of the welcoming riverside village bars or restaurants, as well
as the many other attractions of the village.
The facilities at La Maison Magique include a heated swimming pool with sundeck.
Adjoining is a children’s playground and recreational area.
There is an open storage area with board games, books and DVDs.
There are fishing rods you can borrow and a table tennis and badminton set and a net in the garden.
Close by is an excellent local canoeing and kayaking club where you can learn to test your skills
through the river course, or take it easy and hire out a pedalo to explore the river between the locks.
Within easy reach there is a selection of renowned international standard golf courses, beautiful,
safe and sandy beaches, water sports on the nearby lake (the largest in Brittany), and superb
fishing on the river and surrounding lakes. The Blavet Valley and surrounding area is also
noted for walking, cycling and horse-riding.
